Flûtur
Flore Chemin
“For example, let’s take a silky green field, add some trees with noses and some sinews to weigh down the leaves. Add shade, friendship chairs, siesta sculptures, bright bushes. There’s a thick but warm Air played on a flute, a few withered beasts chattering… Food, though rare, will be orange and accompanied by bread. Drinks, also rare, will be drunk by the cupful. All this could form for our guests an if not enviable, at least possible Flûtur.”
Flore Chemin lives in the Corrèze region of France and works as part of a group. She cultivates an aesthetic of the ‘à peu près’ that corresponds to various principles: do first / understand later, remain blurred but with handles, invite weeds into the heart of the garden.
She recently exhibited at Galerie Tator (Lyon), Galerie Bernard Jordan (Paris) and the Maison Culturelle de Ath (Belgium), and is currently working on a collection of paintings and comics.
